This past week was our Unit 1 review week. This week we begin Unit 2. In Language Arts, we are focusing on prefixes un- and in-, cause and effect, fiction, and common and proper nouns. Do not forget to encourage your child to continue to read AR books within his or her AR level at home and filling out the reading log.
In Math, we are most likely going to test Chapter 4 on Thursday. Don't forget to refer to ca.gr4math.com as an extra resource to help prepare for that test.

Go to the above link and enter the following into the field that says "Access Code": (The code won't work if you copy and paste it into the field. You have to type in the access code on the keyboard.)

Now, this resource will let you view the entire math textbook at home. ALSO, it will allow you to print out the homework we do and give you additional math pages for practice. (To get to homework you will need to click on the "Table of Contents"; then you will click on the little gray arrow next to whichever chapter you want the homework for; a list will drop down from the arrow; click on whichever lesson we are working on (IE 14-6); then click on the "Resources" button which is next to the "Table of Contents" button; finally, homework and additional practice resources will appear for you to view.) If your child "forgets" his or her homework, you can still have him or her do it if you have an internet connection.

This resource has some videos that reteach the lesson we are on. There are also extra practice problems, and sometimes math games available for a lesson.
