Information about students' planners.

Hello Parents,

I just wanted to point out that inside the students' planners I have them write their "Behavior Color." Their "Behavior Color" is my classroom management chart. I have a lot of positive awards to motivate the students (IE raffle tickets, class points, table points, and Pawsitive Paws.) However, I use the Behavior Chart to discourage constant inappropriate classroom behavior. The "Behavior Chart" progression is Green, Blue, Yellow, White, and finally RED. It is my goal that the students end the day on Green or Blue. I have the students write in their planner what their ending color is of the day. Please encourage them at home to end on Green or Blue. The class overall has been doing this really well, but I just thought I would post about the "Behavior Chart."

Also, in the student planners, I put a "check mark" in the day that they use the bathroom during class time. If they spend more then 5 minutes in the bathroom, I will circle the check mark to indicate that. Please be sure your child is not having 3 or more check marks to use the bathroom each day.
