     In math, we are in chapter 9. Chapter 9 is where we begin “long division.” This may be new to your child. Feel free to use ca.gr4math.com to take a sneak peak as to what is in this chapter.
     In language arts, the week’s concept is storms, and the weekly story is called Eye of the Storm.  This week, we will be going over Latin roots (struct, scrib/script), graphic sources, using the comprehension strategy “predicting”, learning about expository nonfiction, our writing trait is organization, our conventions we are learning will be about past, present, and future verb tenses, and our spelling words will be compound words.
