This week in math, we are continuing Chapter 8, which is, multiplying two digit numbers by other two and three digit number. For example, 45 x 34 = ___. This is mostly likely a brand new skill your child is learning. Please take any free time you have to help him or her with this skill at home. Go to ca.gr4math.com for extra math help on this skill.
This week in language arts, we are working on related words, generalizing, visualizing, the story genre of myth, and subject-verb agreement. The spelling words being taught this week are words with the vowel sound “ow” like in shout.
I have also started something called “Friday Folders.” These are envelopes that will contain your child’s tests from the previous week. Look for the envelopes on Friday afternoon with your child. You may keep the tests, but please send the envelopes back to school with your child.
