Student Names for Valentine Exchange on Monday.

Hello,

I put lists in the students mailboxes in case parents would like to send Valentines on Monday with their children. If your child did not bring home the list or lost it, below are the 26 students we have in class.

I would suggest that if students participate in a Valentines card exchange, bring enough for every student. 4th graders are sensitive and students will feel sad and left out if they do not receive one and other people do. If there are individual valentines they want to give to only their friends, I suggest they do that outside of our class-time Valentine exchange.

Finally, Valentine's Day is a fun day where students receive a card and feel special. However, it is inappropriate for them to be sending/ receiving any type of boyfriend/girlfriend type Valentine's card. I will confiscate any type of cards that I see that suggest a student wants to "date" another student or be their "boyfriend/girlfriend." There is no such thing as that for elementary schoolers.
