Tuesday Homework:
Spelling: Complete "Phonetic Spelling" worksheet. (Students write their spelling word three times next to its phonetic spelling.)
Math: Complete "Skills Practice 3-4" worksheet.
Reading: Read for 30 minutes and log it into the reading log. (Reading logs are due Monday.)

8/30 MONDAY
Monday Homework(8/30)
Spelling: Write spelling words in "A-B-C" order.
Math: Complete all problems on math worksheet "Homework Practice 3-1."
Reading: Read for 30 minutes. Log the reading into the reading log. (Reading Logs are due Mondays)
Miscellaneous: Look over the tests that were sent home with your child in the manila envelope. Please review the tests, put them back in the envelope, sign the front of the envelope, and return them to school.
News: The AR Goals are in the computer. If a student logs in, he or she can see their AR goal.
Homework/Planner information: When your child brings home their planner I am having them write the "Behavior Color" they finished the day with. Green means the student had a good day. Yellow means they had one official "Warning". White means the student lost some recess time due to his/her behavior. Red is an email/note/call home to a parent. I will stamp my RED STAR shaped stamp on the day in the planner to confirm they have the homework information completed correctly. You may initial their planner to assist me in checking their planners. Feel free to write notes in their planners to communicate with me. You may also email me, too.
TESTS THIS WEEK: There is a math test on Friday. It will be on "Addition and Subtraction Expressions"
EXAMPLES- if y=5, solve the following problems:
1. 5 + y = <----- the answer is 5 + 5 = 10
2 12 - y = <----- the answer is 12 - 5 = 8
EXAMPLES- Write an expression for each situation
3. three more than t Answer t + 3
4. the sum of d and six Answer d + 6
5. ten subtracted from m Answer m - 10
Please refer to your child's math homework this week to see what other similar math problems will be on the test.
